PNTC Colleges, formerly known as the Philippine Nautical Training Institute (PNTI), was founded by Atty. Hernani N. Fabia in 1994 to offer specialized courses on maritime education in relation to the 1978 International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW). Expanding its coverage from a training institute to offering maritime college and seafarer competency assessment center, the institution changed to its current name.
With campuses around Manila and Cavite, PNTC Colleges offers courses on marine transportation and marine engineering. For those interested in non-maritime education, the institution also provides business courses such as customs administration, business administration, accountancy, and accounting technology. PNTC Colleges also has a senior high school program covering Academic strands.
Conforming to the quality standards of ISO 9001-2008, PNTC Colleges has been duly certified by the Technischer Uberwachungs Verein (TUV) Philippines. The Commission on Higher Education (CHEd), the Technical Education and Skills Authority (TESDA) and the Department of Education (DepEd), also recognize the courses offered by PNTC.
