About this course

The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BS CE) program is a five-year program designed to teach students the basic principles of science and mathematical tools used in engineering. The program covers the five essential fields of civil engineering: structural engineering, transportation engineering, water resources engineering, Geo-technical engineering and construction engineering and management. It also aims to provide students with technical skills and knowledge in planning, design, construction, supervision, and maintenance of civil engineering works — this includes road, school, mall, human settlement, energy development, and agricultural infrastructures.

Freshman Admission Requirements:
Admission Requirements - Freshmen: 1. Pass the written TUP Scholastic and Technical Aptitude Test (TUPSTAT) and oral tests. 2. Certification of Good Moral Character 3. Physically and mentally fit 4. Have met the prescribed admission requirements for the program/course applied for.

Transferees Admission Requirements:
Admission Requirements - Transferees: Within TUP system 1. Endorsement from the Admissions Office 2. With Good Scholastic Records 3. With Good Moral Character 4. Certification of Available slot from the Department From Other Schools 1. Certificate of Transfer Credentials 2. With Good Scholastic Records (No Failing Grades) 3. With Good Moral Character 4. Certification of Available slot from the Department 5. Have met the prescribed admission requirements for the program/course applied for.

Foreign Students Admission Requirements:
Admission Requirements - Foreign Students: 1.Meet the prescribed admission requirements for the program/course applied for. 2.Submission of necessary requirements for student visa conversion. 3. Transcript of Records/Scholastic Records duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service 4. Proficiency in English Test (f or non‐native speakers of English language) 5. Notarized affidavit of support including bank statement, notice accommodation, and other subsistence, as well as other school dues and incidental expenses. 6. Five (5) copies of duly signed student’s personal history statement (PHS), both in English, and his/her national alphabet accompanied by his/her personal seal, if any, and containing among others, his left and right thumbprint and 2x2 photograph on plain white background taken not more than six months prior to submission. 7. Photocopy of data page of the student’s passport showing date and place of birth, and birth certificate or it's equivalent 8. Philippine Police Clearance

About the Provider

The Technological University of the Philippines - Taguig (TUP-Taguig) is a public educational institution located in Bicutan, Taguig City. It was established as the Manila Technician Institute (MTI), one of the three prototype technician institutes founded by the National Government in 1977. By 1985, it adopted the name Technological University of the Philippines-Taguig (TUP-T) and eventually became one of Techonological University of the Philippines' campuses in the country.

Four-year courses, as well as Ladderized degree programs in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Graphics Technology, Environmental Science, and Technical Vocational Teacher Education are readily available to students who want to pursue their education in the institution. At present, TUP-T is the main provider of technology education in the southeastern part of Metro Manila providing engineers, technicians and skilled workers for various industries in the area and it is also officially recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
