Doctorate Admission Requirements:
1. Letter of Intent (addressed to the Dean) 2. Filled-up Recommendation for admission (to be accomplished by immediate supervisor/head of office, click here to download form) 3. Original and Photocopy/CTC of Transcript of Records (from previous school attended) 4. Original and Photocopy of PSA authenticated Birth Certificate Original and Photocopy of PSA authenticated Marriage Certificate (for female married applicant only) 5. Softcopy of recent ID picture, 2"x2" (with complete name and in formal attire w/ white background) - for online application Updated Curriculum Vitae/Resumé (including research works and publications, if any) 6. A two-page, double spaced write up discussing or describing the research area, idea, or interest that the applicant would like to investigate in his/her thesis/dissertation. The write-up should be on short bond paper and encoded using Arial font size 12 7. Downloaded and signed GSEE Application Form, attached with 2”x2” ID picture you uploaded during online application 8. Downloaded payment voucher Original copy of the following: 1. Certificate of Employment or Service Record (if employed) 2. Medical Certificate within the last 6 months (“Fit to Study”) Admission Prerequisites 1. A student who wishes to be admitted in a doctorate degree program must comply with the following prerequisites: 2. Holder of an appropriate master’s degree (with thesis) from a university or college of recognized standing. If the master’s degree is in another field, the applicant has to make up for deficiencies by taking 18 units of pre-degree courses prescribed in the relevant program of studies in this University. 3. A scholastic rating of at least 1.75, B+, or 87% in the master’s degree courses 4. Qualify in the admission examination 5. Pass the interview by the Program Chair and/or the Dean 6. Have a minimum of one year work experience

About the Provider

Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), is a public educational institution established in 1904 as the Manila Business School. PUP underwent several changes in its institutional name since its establishment until it received its university status in 1978 and was successfully renamed to its present name through the Presidential Decree 1341.
