About this course

Bachelor of Science in Interior Design (BSID) is a four-year degree program designed to teach students design concepts and methods of building interiors. It covers a wide range of professional practices such as interior design, furniture, and accessories design, visual merchandising, production design, exhibition design, interior landscaping design, and lighting design. The program discusses the core business fundamentals such as accounting, economics, and marketing while also including the design basics such as architectural history, textiles, and decorative arts. The BSID program also equips students with skills in operating a computer-aided design technology, reading blueprints, understanding building codes, and deciphering market trends.

Transferees Admission Requirements:
Admission Requirements - Transferees: 1. Certificate of Transfer Credential / Honorable Dismissal (original and photocopy) 2. Certified True Copy of Grades (original and photocopy) 3. Letter of Recommendation / Certificate of Good Moral Character from the Dean or Guidance Counselor of the last school attended (original and photocopy) 4. NSO issued birth certificate (original and photocopy) 5. Marriage Certificate (for married female students – 2 photocopies) 6. 2 colored 1.5 x 1.5 ID picture

Foreign Students Admission Requirements:
Admission Requirements - Foreign Students: 1. Scholastic record duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service consular officer located in the student’s country of origin or legal residence 2. Police clearance certificate issued by the National Police Authority in the student’s country of origin or residence duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service consular officer. Alternatively, a certificate of good moral character from a reputable source (Employer, Government official) will be accepted. 3. Copy of the Birth Certificate 4. 2 ID pictures (1.5" x 1.5") 5. Copy of passport showing photo, data & stamp of the latest arrival of the student and existing visa. Original passport must be presented for verification only.

Foreign Second Admission Requirements:

About the Provider

Philippine Women’s University (PWU) is a private, non-sectarian academic institution founded in 1919 with the goal to empower women through higher education. It was one of the few schools in Manila that accepts female students during its time. But today, the school now accepts male enrollees.  The institution offers basic education from preschool to senior high at the Jose Abad Santos Memorial School (JASMS) in Manila and Quezon City. Meanwhile, its undergraduate to post-graduate degree programs are offered in its main campus. 

The PWU is composed of fourteen academic schools that offer programs in Arts and Sciences, Fine Arts and Design, Music, Business Education, Food Technology, Education, International Relations and Diplomacy, Hospitality Management, Medical Technology, Nursing, Nutrition, Pharmacy, Social Work, and Tourism. In addition to these programs, the PWU also provides special programs that include distance learning and the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP).
