About this course

The Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BS IS) is a four-year degree program that deals with the design and implementation of solutions that integrate information technology with business processes. The program teaches students about hardware and software applications and how they can use them to collect, filter, process, create and distribute data. It also focuses on the design, development and implementation of information and communications technology (ICT) resources to ensure that information systems applications can be used in various industry sectors such as business, education, media and entertainment, healthcare, government, and service.

Foreign Students Admission Requirements:
Admission Requirements - Foreign Students: 1. Certificate of Eligibility 2. Scholastic Records/Transfer of Credentials 3. 2"x2" Identical ID Pictures (6 copies) 4. Letter of Intent: (1) For INC Member - Certificate of Membership, (2) For NON-INC Member - Letter of Intent from the applicant and Endorsement Letter from the INC member and a Local Resident Minister of INC Locale nearest to applicant's residence attesting to his/her being good and 164:Teaching & Academics:Law abiding citizen. 5. Authenticated copy of Good Moral Certificate (from previous school) 6. About the Provider

New Era University (NEU) is a private university run by the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) established on June 17, 1975 as the New Era Educational Institute offering secondary education. As the institution expanded its programs, it also underwent several changes in its name. In 1981, the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) granted its collegiate status changing its name to New Era College until it received its university status in 1995 from the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd).

Though it is run by the Iglesia Ni Cristo, its door is also open to non-INC members, thus providing equal educational opportunities for all. At present, New Era University offers a complete set of academic programs, with graduate and undergraduate degrees, diploma programs, the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP), Distance Education Program, and K-12. It also provides education for those who cannot take formal classes through the Alternative Learning System (ALS) and the Special Education Program.

To strengthen its foundation, NEU took initiative in developing its curriculum. Its Liberal Arts, Bachelor of Secondary Education, Bachelor of Elementary Education, and Business Administration received Level III accreditation from the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA), while its Civil and Industrial Engineering programs were awarded Level II accreditation.
