About the Provider

Olivarez College (OC) is a private, non-sectarian school first established in Parañaque. It was founded in 1976 by Dr. Pablo & Dr. Rosario Olivarez after they founded the Olivarez General Hospital the year before. The school started as Olivarez School of Nursing where the students can be given the advantage to work at the adjacent hospital after they graduate. The number of enrollees increased by the school's second year, so additional college and vocational courses were made available; this also marked the renaming of the school to Olivarez Junior College. In 1979, the college began offering high school programs.

Olivarez College branched out to Tagaytay in 2003 as the founders wanted to provide a school that promotes the development of not only the students but also of the community.  Olivarez College Tagaytay currently has a Senior High School and a College department. The SHS strands available are from the Academic and the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) tracks. For college students, the available programs are in Business Administration, Teacher Education, Nursing, Information Technology, Hotel and Tourism Management, and Criminology. Additionally, OC Tagaytay is a TESDA Accredited Assessment Center.

Olivarez College is recognized by the Commission for Higher Education (CHED) and Department of Education (DepEd). It is also accredited by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU) and the Philippine Association for Colleges and Universities on Accreditation (PACUCOA).
