University of Perpetual Help System DALTA in Las Piñas

University of Perpetual Help System DALTA -  Las Piňas, formerly known as Perpetual Help College of Rizal, was founded in 1975 by the couple Dr. Antonio Laperal Tamayo and Dr. Daisy Moran Tamayo, with their friend, Ernesto Palanca Crisostomo. The current hospital housed the first school building for the College of Nursing. The college then changed its name to the University of Perpetual Help after being conferred of the university status by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in 1997. UPHSD currently has three branches in Las Piňas, Calamba, and Molino.

At present, the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA specializes in the Medical Sciences with courses on Physical Therapy, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Radiological Technology, Medical Technology, and Nursing, among others. The university also offers undergraduate degrees in Architecture, Arts and Sciences, Aviation, Business Administration and Accountancy, Computer Studies, Criminology, Engineering, International Hospitality Management, Maritime and Teacher Education. UPHSD also provides grade school education, business school, and technical-vocational courses. Additionally, the university has graduate courses on Business, Education, Nursing, and other continuing education programs. 

In the tradition of continuing excellence, the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) awarded the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA Las Piňas the recognition of having the second highest number of accredited programs in the country. The university also produced topnotchers in the field of Physical Therapy and Respiratory Therapy.
