Trinity University of Asia
University
Quezon City, Ncr, Second District
Trinity University of Asia (TUA), formerly known as Trinity College of Quezon City, is a private sectarian and church-related institution organized by the concordat of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines and the Iglesia Filipina Independiente. Established in 1963, the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) granted TUA its university status in 2006. The former Trinity College of Quezon City was launched by shares of Procter and Gamble stock when Rt. Rev. Lyman C. Ogilby decided to set up a Christian school. The funds led to the purchase of the former Capitol City College, the current location of TUA’s elementary and high schools. The administrative and college units moved to its present campus in Cathedral Heights compound in November 1968.
Setting its vision to transform a community of learners into leaders towards a humane society, the university continues to serve its students and faculty with high-quality education centered on the Christian faith. According to the university’s mission, it aims to provide competent and socially responsible citizens by instilling Christian values in its programs, providing excellent services for a quality learning environment, empowering communities, encouraging self-improvement, and exercising sound management in its resources.
The Trinity University of Asia caters a complete set of curricula to nurture the development of the youth with its elementary, high school, senior high school, college, master’s, and postgraduate programs. With the merge of St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing to create a five-year collegiate course in Nursing, St. Luke’s Nurse’s Home became part of the college’s expansion to aid in its teaching program. Offering undergraduate programs on Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Computing and Information Sciences, Education, Hotel and Tourism Management, and Nursing, the university takes pride on the quality of its education.
