Technological Institute of the Philippines - Quezon City
College
Quezon City, Ncr, Second District
Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP) was established on February 8, 1962 by a group of educators headed by Engineer Demetrio A. Quirino Jr and Dr. Teresita U. Quirino as a private non-sectarian stock school. TIP’s objectives were based on the vision of its founders. They wanted to maintain a high standard of instruction; to bring within the reach of the masses the blessings of higher education; and to cooperate with the government in the implementation of its economic and social amelioration programs.
TIP Quezon City offers undergraduate programs in education, engineering, architecture, business, maritime education, information technology, arts, and mathematics. They also offer graduate studies in engineering and IT. In 2013, Quezon City’s engineering programs gained accreditation from the US-based ABET, the global gold standard in engineering and computing education accreditation.
TIP opened its Quezon City campus in 1983 located at 20th Avenue, Cubao. T.I.P.QC through the years acquired adjacent properties including a frontage along Aurora Boulevard. The Quezon City campus has ten main buildings spread out in the 3.3-hectare site.
