MS in Clinical Nutrition
Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition is a joint offering between PWU and St. Luke’s medical Center (SLMC). PWU is the first and only educational institution to offer MSCN in the Philippines and in Asia. Clinical Nutrition focuses on the treatment and prevention of acute illnesses and chronic diseases. The clinical nutrition utilizes a knowledge based in nutritional biochemistry, anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology to determine the metabolic abnormality or pathophysiology underlying a disease state. Career Opportunities are Clinical Nutrition Specialist, Nutrition Care Consultant, Nutrition Support Consultant, Educator (Tertiary and Graduate Level), Researcher and Entrepreneur.
Graduate Admission Requirements:
1. Transcript of Records — original and two (2) photocopies 2. Certificate of Transfer Credentials or Honorable Dismissal (from the last school attended) — original copy 3. Certificate of Employment (if employed) or Barangay Clearance (if unemployed) — original and one photocopy 4. NSO issued Birth Certificate — two (2) photocopies 5. NSO issued Marriage Certificate (for married women only) — two (2) photocopies 6. Colored ID Pictures (size 1 x 1) — four (4) copies 7. PRC License (if applicable) — two (2) photocopy 8. Permit to Study • — two (2) photocopies Additional requirements for applicants who will take up Master of Arts in Nursing 9. Related Learning Experience (RLE) — original/certified true copy and one photocopy 10. Result of Board Examination — original and one photocopy • Permit to Study is needed if the applicant is working in the Government or tuition being financed by the government or scholarship.
