Lacson College, also known as Philippine Law School (PLS), enhances the strengths of young individuals and supports them to go beyond their limitations in order to be successful in the field of law. It pursues to create clever and just minds which continue to grow as it fulfills the demands of our society. Founded in 1915 by lawyers Simeon and Ricardo Conlu Lacson, this private, non-sectarian institution is considered as one of the oldest law schools in the Philippines. At the same time, PLS is one of the first ever law schools to utilize English as its teaching language.
Originally situated in Quiapo, Manila, the school later transferred to Intramuros and eventually in Pasay City, its present location. Until now, it continues to create history as its performance in bar examinations produces refined results.
The college is known for providing quality Criminal Justice Education. In addition to Law and Criminology programs, this institution also offers degrees in Commerce and Secondary Education. Another school offering is a senior high school program featuring the Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) strand. The Philippine Law School - Lacson College is recognized by the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU). Throughout the years, the school has produced a lot of topnotch graduates. Notable alumni include Philippine President Carlos P. Garcia, former Secretary of Foreign Affairs Felixberto M. Serrano, and trial lawyer Antonio P. Coronel.
