Coding for Beginners (7-12yo)
Scratch is a graphical programming language, developed by MIT Media Lab. Instead of lines of code, it uses blocks (similar to brick toys) to create interactive games, stories, animations and more.
In Scratch, even children can gain experience to programming their own games and animations. Students can learn basics of programming, computational ideas and think creatively to solve a problem. Scratch allows students to develop artistic and creative skills in a digital world that is both empowering and adventurous.
In this course, students will learn by completing fun-based projects. Each project is designed to help students advance their computational/programming knowledge. They will understand the concepts of loops, variables, cloning, sprite's communication, movements, and more.
For 7 to 12 years old.
