The Centre for International Education (CIE) – British School is an international school system with campuses in Makati, Cebu, and Tacloban. Founded by Prof. Nelia Cruz Sarcol, CIE British School envisions itself as The School for Leaders. The school adopts the Pearl Principle—also initiated by Teacher Nelia—and believes that with adversity come growth and progress; students are taught that change starts with the self and that by looking within, they can know and develop the necessary skills and values to overcome challenges and make a change.
CIE British School Cebu provides both basic education and higher education programs. For Senior High School (SHS) students, the CIE has the Academic Track available, particularly the STEM and the ABM strands. For college-level students, the campus offers degree programs in Business Administration and in Information Technology. The programs and overall educational system of CIE British School are internationally recognized and have the ISO 9001:2008 certification.
