Cavite State University (CVSU) is a public university in Cavite founded in 1906. The school was established initially as an intermediate school by the Thomasites, a group of American teachers brought by the United States during the early part of the American colonial period to reform the education system in the Philippines. By 1964, the school has grown into a college known as the Don Severino Agricultural College (DSAC). It became a university on January 22, 1998, and was renamed as the Cavite State University.

At present, the university has 10 satellite campuses in Bacoor, Cavite City, Carmona, General Trias, Imus, Naic, Rosario, Silang, Tanza, and Trece Martires City. It also has 10 colleges offering undergraduate and graduate programs in the fields of Agriculture, Forestry,  Arts, Criminal Justice, Education,  Economics, Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Nursing, Sports, Veterinary Medicine, and Biomedical Sciences.
