Calayan Educational Foundation

Calayan Educational Foundation, Inc. (formerly  Medical Center Lucena Educational Institutions, Inc. or MCLEI)  is a private, higher educational institution in Lucena City, Quezon. It was founded in 1973 by Drs. Emetrio, Jr. and Josefina del Villar-Calayan as a school of midwifery. From offering Midwifery, Nursing, and other paramedical degree programs, the school eventually ventured into providing preschool, elementary, and high school programs. Through values of honor, scholarship, and service, students and the whole CEFI community continuously contribute to the development of the region.

Aside from health allied courses, namely Radiologic Technology, Physical Therapy, Medical Technology, Nursing, and Midwifery, CEFI also offers undergraduate programs in Teacher Education, Criminology, Business Administration, Social Sciences, and Information Systems. Additionally, the school has a Senior High School program providing the Academic and the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) tracks. Currently, CEFI also has a Graduate School in partnership with the University of Batangas, offering graduate and post-graduate degrees in Teacher Education, Mathematics, English, Business Administration, and Public Administration.
