The Master in Business Administration (MBA) program is a two-year graduate program usually taken by mid-career professionals to gain an advantage in their professional careers. The curriculum is designed to equip students with the skills that will make them qualified and competent in higher-level management positions. The program centers on the current management techniques, functional areas in the field of business, relevant concepts in economics, applied mathematics, statistics, and behavioral science, and their practical applications. It does not only teach students about theories and applications of business concepts, processes, tools, and techniques but also teaches students about managerial tools and right decision-making processes in a business.

Graduate Admission Requirements:1. Earned Bachelor's degree from government-recognized institution, supported by - Original transcript of records with Special Order Number indicated therein, plus two (2) photocopies and - Two (2) photocopies of diploma 2. Grade weighted average of 2.00 or better in the baccalaureate degree for the master's program and 1.75 or better in the master's degree for the doctoral program [An applicant who scores “average” in the entrance examination but whose GWA is lower than the required average may be admitted on “probation” for one semester and will qualify for readmission if he/she obtains a GWA of 2.00 or better (for master's) and 1.75 or better (for doctoral) at the end of the semester.] 3. English Language Proficiency based on TOEIC/TOEFL score or it's equivalent. In the absence of TOEIC/TOEFL, applicants whose English proficiency falls short of the standard set by the Graduate School shall be required to enrol for one semester in English for Foreign Students at College of Arts and Sciences. Applicants should come in the first week of May or the first week of October at the latest to enrol in this subject which is taught every semester. Only those who pass the course will be given a Certificate of Completion and will be allowed to enrol in a graduate program. 4. All foreign freshman students who plan to enrol are advised to report personally at the Graduate School office one month prior to the official enrolment period for the semester/term chosen, to enable proper verification of their academic documents, to process other admission requirements, and to enable the Graduate School to determine their English proficiency level. 5. Certification of employment and study permit, if working in government or private agency 6. Medical certificate from the UE Ramon Magsaysay (UERM) Memorial Medical Center 7. Passed the Graduate School Entrance Examination (GSEE) 8. Two character references, one from former professor 9. Fully accomplished application for admission 10. Interview by a member of the Graduate School Academic Committee 11. Any other document/requirement that the University may prescribe. 12. Four (4) 2" x 2" recent colored pictures Specific Requirements for Foreign Students Foreign Resident Students: In addition to the above cited requirements, the applicant is required to submit his/her Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) (Original and one (1) photocopy) or I-card (original and one (1) photocopy) issued by the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID). Non-Resident Foreign Students: The applicants are required to submit the following prescribed requirements: Government: [The documents should be duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Establishments (PSFEs) located in the applicant's country of origin or residence:] 1. Scholastic records 2. Documentary proof of support to cover expenses incidental to their studies, such as board and lodging as well as return air tickets 3. Police Clearance Certificate 4. Medical Health Certificate, Including standard size chest X-Ray. If the student is already in the Philippines under a different visa status and is applying for conversion of such status to that of a student, the medical examination may be performed by a local medical practitioner authorized by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). University: 1. Letter of Intent addressed to the Dean of the Graduate School 2. Personal History Statement form of the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation 3. Two (2) Character References 4. Transcript of Records/Mark Sheets and Diploma (original and two (2) photocopies) properly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy in his/her respective country 5. Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) or I-card issued by the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID) 6. Passport (original and one (1) photocopy) 7. Four (4) 2"x2" recent colored pictures 8. Any other document/requirement that the University may prescribe 9. Seventy Five U.S. Dollars (US$75.00) or it's peso equivalent at the prevailing exchange rate as processing fee (check or money order should be made payable to the University of the East) 10. One Hundred Twenty Five U.S. Dollars (US$125.00) or it's peso equivalent at the prevailing exchange rate as acceptance fee upon release of Letter of Acceptance (LOA) (check or money order should be made payable to the University of the East).
About the Provider
University of the East (UE) is a private university founded in 1946 by Dr. Francisco T. Dalupan Sr. as a review class for the Certified Public Accountant Examination. From the review class, the founder established the Philippine College of Commerce and Business Administration (PCCBA) along R. Papa St. in Sampaloc, Manila. PCCBA opened the Colleges of Liberal Arts (now the College of Arts and Sciences), Business Administration (CBA), Dentistry and the Graduate School of Business Administration and by 1951, it was granted its university status and renamed as the University of the East.
UE offers degree programs in Law, Dentistry, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Arts and Sciences, Fine Arts, Architecture and Design, Business Administration, Engineering, Education, and Computer Studies and Systems. It has three campuses, all located in Luzon. Its main campus is UE Manila, while the satellite campuses are located in Caloocan (Caloocan Campus) and Quezon City (the UE Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center (UERMMMC)).
Currently, UE Graduate School offers Masters and Doctorate courses in the fields of Philosophy, Sciences, Dentistry, Business, Public Administration, Education, Construction, and Information Management. UERMMMC Graduate School offers postgraduate courses in Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, and Physical Therapy. The University of the East also has an Elementary and High School Department (UE-EHSD) to cater to basic education for students.
