About this course

Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) is a four year degree program designed to prepare students for becoming high school teachers. The program combines both theory and practice in order to teach students the necessary knowledge and skills a high school teacher needs. The program aims to produce competent teachers who provide a conducive learning experience to their students.

About the Provider

Taguig City University (TCU) is a public university in Taguig City established in 2004 by the virtue of Ordinance No. 29, series 2004 . It was originally named as Pamantasan ng Taguig, then eventually changing it to Taguig City University pursuant to the City Ordinance No. 13, series of 2009. Lack of classrooms and accessible facilities have been the challenges for the university in its starting stages. Classes of undergraduate programs were held in the various elementary and high schools campuses. It was only in 2006 when the administration commenced the construction of the university's main building.

To date, Taguig City University offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the fields of Business, Arts and Sciences, Hospitality Management, Criminology, Engineering, and Education. Also, the university has a senior high school program that has strands under the Academic and Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) tracks.

Despite the struggles in their humble beginnings, the university has been striving to pursue the best and quality education for the youth. With its offer of free tuition fee, the university is expecting its students to perform well in their academics and pursue excellence in different aspects of their life.
