About this course
The Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics (BSND) is a four-year degree program that teaches students with the principles and procedures of the use of food for therapeutic purposes in the management of persons suffering from a disease. Students of this program are also taught techniques and management of food production, particularly the phases of the foodservice cycle: menu planning, purchasing, receiving, storage and issuance, pre-preparation, production, merchandising and service, food safety, and sanitation and cost control.

Freshman Admission Requirements:Admission Requirements - Freshmen: Qualifications 1. Grade 12 students expected to graduate at the end of School Year 2018-2019, and those who graduated from K-12 pilot schools who have not enrolled in any technical / diploma / degree program immediately after graduation with GWA of 82% or higher. 2. A Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) passer, eligible for admission to college with an average rating of 82% or higher in it's 5 subject areas: Mathematics, Communication Arts (English), Science, Communication Arts (Filipino) and Araling Panlipunan. 3. An Alternative Learning System Accreditation & Equivalency (ALS) Test for Secondary Level passer, eligible for admission to college: with Percentile Correct (PC) 82% or higher and has 100 or higher Standard Score (SS) with Essay Writing of 82% of higher following DepEd regulations. 4. Graduated in 2016 or earlier years but did not enter college / technical / diploma / degree program in any school. Application 1. All PUPCET applicants must apply online using PUP iApply (read step-by-step procedure). An applicant is allowed to apply and take the PUPCET in only one (1) PUP Branch/Campus, and only once this academic year. Multiple application will make the applicant’s PUPCET result null and void. PUPCET application is non-transferrable. 2. Please allow five (5) working days after online application before claiming your ePermit. Documentary Requirements 1. Original (or certified true copy, if lost) of senior high school card (F138) with school dry seal 2. Notarized certification of non-enrollment for senior high school graduates who have not enrolled in any technical/diploma/degree program immediately after senior high school graduation 3. Certificate of Completion for Senior High School 4. Original PSA Birth Certificate 5. Certification of Good Moral issued by the senior high school principal or guidance counselor with school dry seal 6. Duly authenticated copy of the PEPT/ALS A&E Test Certificate of Rating, certified by the DepEd-NETRC-BALS 7. School ID (for currently enrolled students) or any valid ID with picture (for previous senior high school graduates)
Transferees Admission Requirements:Admission Requirements - Transferees: Transferring within the PUP System 1. Have a recommendation from the Director of the branch where he/she came from 2. Have completed at least two (2) semesters 3. Have no failing grade, dropped and withdrawn mark in any academic subject 4, have met the college academic course/program requirements and 5. Have submitted the following requirement to the Admission Services: - Transfer Credential/Honorable Dismissal - Certification of Grades/Transcript of Records for evaluation purposes - Receipt of Admission Fee payment - NSO Copy of Birth Certificate - Receipt of Admission fee payment, and - Curriculum sheet Transferring from another School 1. Have passed the psychological test 2. Have completed two (2) semesters or one (1) year (equivalent to 36 units only) for the last two (2) years in any four or five year program/degree/course in the school/university where he/she came from 3. Have a weighted average of 2.0 or better with no failed, dropped or withdrawn subjects 4. Have met the college academic program/course requirements 5. Have submitted the following requirements: - Honorable Dismissal/Transfer Credentials - Transcript of Records - Certification of good moral character with school/university dry seal - Course/Subject Description taken from other school/university - NSO Copy of Birth Certificate - Medical Clearance from the University Clinic - Two (2) pcs. 2x2 picture with name tag - Receipt of Admission fee payment, and - Curriculum sheet
