Freshman Admission Requirements:
Admission Requirements - Freshmen: 1. Passed the Cadetship Qualifying Examination by the PNPA 2. A natural born Filipino citizen 3. Single with no legal obligation to support a child or children 4. 17-22 years old at the time of admission 5. Physically and mentally fit for the cadetship training 6. At least 5'4 (162.5 cm) in height for male and 5'2 (157.5 cm) for female 7. Weight not more than nor less than 5 kilograms of the standards weight measurement corresponding to height, age and sex

About the Provider

Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC) is a public institution for learning founded in 1992. The college offers instruction and training to uniformed personnel from Philippine agencies such as the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) as well as to individuals from the private sector. It is under the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG). It has campuses in Taguig and Quezon City.  

Republic Act 6975, which is also known as the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Act of 1990, was instrumental in the foundation of the college. The Act called for the establishment of an educational institution that will provide comprehensive training for the personnel of PNP, BJMP and BFP.

PPSC offers programs on public safety. One of its program offerings is a 4-year baccalaureate degree in public safety, ideal for aspiring public servants. Its curriculum features subjects related to law enforcement, forensic sciences as well as social sciences. Another exclusive school offering is a masters program in crisis and disaster risk management. Special courses (both basic and advanced) that can enhance one’s skill and knowledge are also taught to the officers of the mentioned agencies. Most of the courses discuss matters relating to leadership and operations.
