This program involves the study and use of concepts, principles, and techniques of computing in the design and development of multimedia products and solutions. The game development specialization track is the study and application of fundamental and advanced theories in game design, scientific simulations, use and development of gaming technology and tools, and production of commercially acceptable digital games and viable solutions for use in entertainment and scientific applications.

Transferees Admission Requirements:Admission Requirements - Transferees: Initial Requirements: 1. Original transcript of records A. No failing grade B. Weighted average of at least 2.00 or it's equivalent, excluding Religion, Physical Education (PE) and National Service Training Program (NSTP) 2. Original certificate of good moral character issued by the college Student Affairs Office (with school seal) 3. Letter of Intent addressed to the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs (EVPAA). Please state the program applied for. Note: Applicants applying for Engineering and Science programs are subject to take the Mapúa Scholastic Aptitude Examination for Math. Applicants applying for Architecture, Interior Design and Multimedia Arts and Sciences are required to take the Skills Test as an additional examination. Additional Requirements once approved by the EVPAA 1. Honorable dismissal/Certificate of Transfer Credential 2. Original or certified true copy of detailed course (subject) descriptions 3. Admission fee Note: Social Sciences, Filipino, PE, and NSTP are the only subjects that shall be credited without a validation examination. For other courses (i.e. English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Drawing, Physics, and Computer), the applicants must take the validation examinations to be given one (1) month before the enrollment period, for a fee. Otherwise, he should repeat the courses. Only courses in the basic program may be credited. However, no validation examination should be given to applicants who come from higher educational institution with status of full autonomy (granted by the Commission on Higher Education) provided the course description for the courses to be credited are equivalent to Mapúa’s course description. The following rules shall govern the admission of transfer students: 1. Transfer students may be admitted to a degree program provided that – • they would complete in Mapúa at least sixty percent (60%) of the units required for the degree program • the maximum number of students quota set by the School and the Registrar for the degree program to which admission is sought has not yet been filled up • they have accomplished and submitted the Fraternity Contract (form issued by the Registrar’s Office during enrollment) 2. The admission of transfer students shall be on probationary basis until all courses taken outside Mapúa, which are required for the degree program, shall have been validated or repeated. Foreign Students Admission Requirements:Admission Requirements - Foreign Students: A. Applicants must be non-immigrants and have completed secondary education (high school or it's equivalent). They must pass the Mapúa Scholastic Aptitude Examination (MSAE) or submit their Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) results with a score of at least 1600 before they become eligible for admission as first year students. Note: Crediting of advanced college units is on a case-by-case basis. B. For non-native English speakers, applicants are required to take and pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Please refer to item No. 1e under Documentary Requirements C. Admission guidelines for applicants coming from the USA: 1. All international students who wish to study at Mapúa are required to submit the requirements below to the Office of the Registrar for evaluation: • Original copy with school seal, and signature of authorized signatory of the following: - Scholastic records or Transcript of Records - Certification of Graduation or Certificate of Completion (Grade 11 or 12) • Clearance from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for foreign applicant who resided in the Philippines for more than 59 days at the time he applies for the change/conversion of his admission status to that of a student • Photocopy of applicant's passport bio-page, latest admission and authorized stay Note: Please present original passport for verification. 2. The Office of the Registrar, upon evaluation, recommends the applicant to take the Mapúa Scholastic Aptitude Examination (MSAE). 3. The applicant takes and passes the Mapúa Scholastic Aptitude Examination (MSAE). • Note: In lieu of the MSAE, the applicant may instead submit his/her SAT results with a score of at least 1600. 4. Upon satisfying the abovementioned requirements, an applicant must then submit to the Office of the Registrar the following documents for enrolment: Bureau of Immigration Checklist of Documentary Requirements for Application for Conversion of Student Visa • Duly notarized letter of request from the applicant, with a statement that all the documents submitted were legally obtained from the corresponding government agencies • Duly notarized General Application Form accomplished by the applicant (BI Form No. MCL-07-01) • Original copy of the Notice of Acceptance (NOA) containing a clear impression of the school's official dry seal or a duly notarized written endorsement from the school for the conversion of the applicant's status signed by the school's Registrar • Original copy of Medical Certificate issued by the Bureau of Quarantine and International Health Surveillance or a government medical institution with competence to certify that the applicant is not afflicted with any dangerous, contagious or loathsome disease and is mentally fit • Photocopy of applicant's passport showing it's bio-page, latest admission and authorized stay of at least 20 days from the date of filing • National Intelligence Coordinating Agency Clearance • Bureau of Immigration (BI) Clearance Certificate 5. Upon submission of the requirements listed above, the Office of the Registrar prepares the documents and bills the student of the required fees. 6. The school Liaison Officer submits the documents to the BI and pays the required fees. 7. BI processes the conversion of visa. 8. The school Liaison Officer claims the visa after two weeks. 9. The Office of the Registrar informs the student when the Student Visa is already available and assists the student for enrolment.
About the Provider
The Mapúa Information Technology Center (MITC) is located in Makati City and occupies the former RCBC building at the corner of Gil Puyat Avenue and Nicanor Garcia Street. Accessible from the campus are malls and recreational centers such as the Ayala Center. Aside from the associate degrees held by the Mapúa IT Center, the Makati Campus hosts the Schools of Information Technology, Health Sciences and Business & Management. The campus is equipped with a simulated hospital for the School of Health Sciences and appropriate equipment to support the Information Technology programs. The Makati Campus' library is equipped with electronic resources and offers the Library Plus service by default. The campus will soon feature state-of-the-art laboratories, test kitchens, and mock-ups for its upcoming Hotel and Restaurant Management program.
