About this course
BS Computer Engineering is a 4-year degree program designed to apply engineering principles and methodologies in the analysis, design, implementation and management of hardware, software and the integration of both. The BSCpE curriculum is based on CMO 13, s. 2008 – the Policies and Standards (PS) for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCpE) issued by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and is benchmarked from the curriculum of leading international academic institutions offering this program. Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) In three to five years after graduation, the Computer Engineering alumni shall: 1. Practice as Computer Engineering professionals for the advancement of society and 2. Promote professionalism in the area of Computer Engineering. Student Outcomes (SOs) The program must enable students to attain, by the time of graduation: An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering. An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data. An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability. An ability to function on multidisciplinary teams. An ability to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems. An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility. An ability to communicate effectively. The broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context. A recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in life-long learning. A knowledge of contemporary issues. An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice. Knowledge and understanding of engineering and management principles as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environment. AMA College Makati is a branch of the AMA Colleges under the AMA Education System, the country’s first and largest ICT university in the Philippines.
