About the Provider

Maryhill College (MC) is a Catholic school in Lucena City. It was founded in 1938 as the Lucena Catholic School through the initiatives of the then Archbishop Alfredo Versoza, D.D., Fr. Ulric Arcand, and Don Daniel Marquez. The school, offering elementary and secondary programs, was also supervised by the Maryknoll Sisters; thus, the Catholic school was later renamed Maryknoll Academy. By 1973, the school administration was already composed of lay ministers; three years later, the institution was renamed Maryhill Academy. The academy earned its college status when it opened its college department in 1996, thus becoming Maryhill College.

MC provides educational programs from preschool through college. Upon, the implementation of the K-12 program in the country, its basic education department opened a Senior High School (SHS) unit that currently has the STEM, ABM, and HUMSS strands available. The college department, on the other hand, has bachelor's degree courses in Nursing, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Accountancy, and Business Administration. Also offered is a Teacher Certificate Program (TCP) for non-Education graduates who wish to earn Education units.

Today, Maryhill College continues the legacy left by the Maryknoll Sisters by providing quality instruction and training centered on Marian values. The school is also dedicated to forming its students to become successful leaders, supplying them with the knowledge and skills for them to flourish in their respective professions.
